We’re joined by an author editor duo for the first time! Historical romance author Maya Rodale and her editor at Avon, Tessa Woodward chat with us about what it’s been like working together for 10 years, why Tessa won’t let Maya make every cover pink, and why we’re determined to talk Tessa into historical lady pirates. Maya’s fantastic latest release is Some Like It Scandalous, and the first book in that series, Duchess by Design, was one of Jenny’s favorite books of 2018, so definitely start there if you haven’t read it yet. Ep. 98 Jen DeLuca: Well Met

We’re joined by Jen DeLuca and special guest cohost Melody Carlisle from the Heaving Bosoms Podcast! Jen tells us all about her debut, Well Met, which is a delightful enemies-to-lovers romance set at a renaissance faire. We also chat about her experiences as a debut author, her writing journey, and Jenny shares some embarrassing renaissance faire stories from her youth. We particularly loved Maureen’s review of Well Met in Entertainment Weekly, so instead of us trying to babble about how much we loved it, we’re directing you to Maureen’s much more competent review–but we effing love this book! If you haven’t listened to Heaving Bosoms yet, check it out! Wondering where to start? Jenny recorded a guest episode waxing poetic about Priest by Sierra Simone with Melody, so that might be a good place to begin.
